Between 01-05 July 2024 (5 days), 1st Level Search and Rescue Training was successfully completed with the participation of 7 KUAK Team Members who new joined our team at AFAD Istanbul Training Directorate in Yeşilköy.

Training program

Day 1: Basic Information on Disasters and Emergencies.

Day 2: Information on Chemical, Biological, Radioactive, Nuclear Threats and Accidents, Search and Rescue Team Structure, Debris Safety and Markings.

Day 3: Use of protective equipments Chemical, Biological, Radioactive, Nuclear incidents, learning the types of knots used in rescue activities, simulation of rescue from deep areas, landing from high places with a rope.

Day 4: Introduction of the equipment used in urban search and rescue activities and their use in the debris, debris entry techniques, fortification applications.

Day 5: Earthquake Simulation, Flood Simulation, Use of equipment used in urban search and rescue activities in the debris, entry to the debris, fortification applications, access to high areas by climbing.
